International Logistics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the coordination of international import and export freight shipments utilizing ocean, rail, truck, LTL, and small package carriers.

• Plan, quote, and book freight movements while ensuring all shipment requirements are satisfied.

• Liaise with carriers and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of shipments.

• Prepare, organize, and maintain all necessary shipping and customs documentation.

• Ensure adherence to relevant import/export regulations and government requirements.

• Track shipments and keep precise transportation records.

• Act as the primary contact for customers, agents, and partners regarding shipment needs and updates.

• Provide tracking information and status updates for shipments.

• Assist internal teams and external stakeholders by offering guidance on international shipping processes.

• Maintain accurate shipment data and operational records.

• Aid in invoicing processes and review documentation.

• Investigate and assess logistics partners, carriers, and service providers to enhance operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• Prior experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or transportation operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with international shipping procedures and documentation requirements is essential.

• Strong communication and customer service abilities are necessary.

• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

• Intermediate computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office, are required.

• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are advantageous.

• Experience in international ocean or air operations is preferred.

• Knowledge of INCOTERMS and import/export documentation processes is preferred.

• Familiarity with freight booking, shipment coordination, and logistics documentation is preferred.
