Internal Auditor I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +42 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct internal audits encompassing strategic, operational, financial, and risk-based compliance audits.

• Evaluate market and shared services Health Plan operations to pinpoint risks, enhance controls, and promote process improvements.

• Carry out risk-focused audits assessing controls and processes for scalability, effectiveness, efficiency, and risk management.

• Contribute to audit planning, refinement of audit work programs, and the conclusion of engagements.

• Assist in the creation of audit reports that summarize findings and recommendations, which includes the consolidation of metrics and graphical representation.

• Formulate and convey audit observations, recommendations, opportunities for process enhancement, and best practices.

• Secure management responses.

• Track and report on the status and findings of audits.

• Support special projects and the implementation of best practices in internal auditing.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, operational auditing, or related business roles.

• Preferred experience in IT, Medicare, or the healthcare industry.

• Preference for candidates with experience in healthcare, Medicare Advantage, internal auditing, and managing audits or projects in a deadline-oriented environment.

• Proficiency in Excel, including skills in pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and queries is preferred.

• Familiarity with Power BI is preferred.

• Experience with Workiva is preferred.

• CPA, CIA, and/or CISA certifications are preferred.

• Adherence to all policies and standards is required.
