Intermodal Logistics Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide quotations and routing for inland container transportation.

• Secure pricing for inland container transit.

• Facilitate the inland movement of containers using rail, truck, and barge.

• Set up invoices within SAP.

• Transmit rail bills.

• Deliver precise quotes and rates for intermodal freight, bids, and spot business.

• Assist commercial initiatives by identifying cost-effective and efficient routing options.

• Suggest alternative routing when necessary.

• Negotiate pricing with truckers for spot business and new routes.

• Update ZIMAPS quarterly and manage missing cost entries.

• Maintain routing and route preference order in IQ Ship.

• Create routes when auto-routing is absent, outdated, or illogical.

• Update any missing route costs.

• Oversee daily changes related to specific vendors and routing.

• Execute and manage rail billing processes and troubleshoot issues.

• Optimize inland routing strategies.

• Respond promptly to routing requests from the Commercial Team.

• Utilize the most cost-effective trucker available.

• Resolve unrouted requisitions within one day when the B/L is valid but the route is nonexistent.

• Address unrouted requisitions within two days if a manifest correction is needed.

• Resolve manual TOs to ensure none exceed one week in age.

• Process rail bill requests within two hours of receipt.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree is advantageous.

• Preferred 3 years of experience in various logistics operating roles.

• Experience in logistics/operations within the Container Shipping industry is a plus.
