Intermediate Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Product Owner and Product Manager to oversee and prioritize the product backlog.

• Convert business requirements into well-defined user stories, ticket descriptions, and acceptance criteria.

• Collect, analyze, and clarify business requirements, addressing gaps and ambiguities.

• Serve as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing conflicting priorities.

• Work alongside the Technical Manager, Architect, and development team to facilitate planning and delivery.

• Lead Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, and various Scrum events.

• Assist in estimation activities and uphold a high-quality product backlog.

• Promote process enhancements to improve backlog quality and delivery efficiency.

• Develop and maintain documentation to ensure transparency and alignment.

• Contribute to a fintech platform focused on payments, enabling secure financial transactions between bank accounts across the U.S.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile development settings.

• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Scrumban, or SAFe.

• Familiarity with backlog management, prioritization, and estimation techniques.

• Practical experience with Jira or Azure DevOps for managing backlogs, user stories, and tracking workflows.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strong sense of ownership with a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

• Capability to gather, analyze, and clarify incomplete or ambiguous business requirements.

• Proficient in writing clear user stories and ticket descriptions with precise acceptance criteria.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• High attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy and completeness.

• Dedication to continuous learning and process enhancement.

• Upper-Intermediate+ level of English proficiency.

• Preferred: experience in banking, fintech, payments, or other highly regulated sectors.

• Preferred: knowledge of payment gateways, card processing, or ACH.

• Preferred: a technical background in software development or quality assurance.

• Preferred: experience as a Scrum Master or in Agile facilitation.
