Interior Designer, 2020 Design Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop test fits, adjacency studies, and dimensioned layouts for both commercial tenant improvements and residential interiors.

• Address circulation, furniture placement, storage, workflow, and overall spatial experience.

• Evaluate existing-condition drawings, photographs, and measurements; identify constraints and confirm critical dimensions.

• Create concept boards, finish palettes, and coordinated interior schemes that encompass cabinetry, custom millwork, feature walls, ceilings, furnishings, and lighting intent.

• Integrate accessibility and building-system requirements alongside responsible professionals.

• Generate precise 3D room models and photorealistic renderings from various viewpoints.

• Utilize 2020 Design for layouts, cabinetry, manufacturer catalog selections, materials, and presentation views.

• Employ AutoCAD for plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and interior details.

• Produce client-facing 360-degree panoramas and immersive presentations when appropriate.

• Maintain consistency in dimensions, selections, and revisions across models, renderings, and drawings.

• Deliver organized editable files, accurate references, clearly labeled issue sets, and presentation-ready exports.

• Source finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and custom millwork effectively.

• Prepare selection schedules detailing products, finishes, dimensions, quantities, suppliers, pricing, and lead times.

• Acquire comparable quotes and suggest design-preserving alternatives.

• Coordinate approvals and purchase-by dates with Procurement and Project Management teams.

• Identify long-lead items, discontinued products, and substitutions; review samples and submittals accordingly.

• Prepare preliminary quantities and allowances for finishes, cabinetry, fixtures, and furnishings.

• Assist with conceptual budgets, compare design alternatives, and clarify cost and schedule impacts.

• Provide takeoffs, specifications, and scope notes to the Estimating team.

• Reconcile selections with approved allowances and identify any cost changes.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, and field teams on constructibility and design intent.

• Support site verification, consultant coordination, permit documentation, and field-question responses.

• Review shop drawings, finish transitions, and installation details meticulously.

• Track revisions and approvals, communicate changes effectively, and assist with finish inspections, punch-list resolution, and final styling.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive interior design experience.

• Significant completed work in commercial interiors and residential renovation or fit-out projects.

• Expert-level proficiency in 2020 Design, including the Design Live / Design Flex product family, and AutoCAD.

• Proven ability to create and revise native project files independently.

• Exceptional portfolio showcasing original design concepts, comprehensive commercial planning, detailed renderings, and completed transformations, with personal contributions clearly highlighted.

• Strong understanding of proportion, scale, circulation, color, texture, lighting, and material composition.

• Practical knowledge of custom millwork and interior construction techniques.

• Demonstrated skills in material sourcing, specification, and vendor coordination.

• Ability to articulate design choices and budget trade-offs to discerning clients.

• Experience with a design-build general contractor, architecture practice, or interior design studio is preferred.

• Experience with adaptive reuse, custom millwork, and advanced walkthrough production is valued.

• Relevant design or architecture degree, NCIDQ certification, or comparable credentials are preferred, but not required.
