This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Design, develop, implement, and support interfaces that facilitate the exchange of patient and laboratory data between HIS/EHR systems and LIMS.
• Manage 3–4 simultaneous interface projects and approximately 10–15 projects annually.
• Complete interface projects within a 90-day timeframe or as swiftly as client and laboratory resources permit.
• Address a balanced share of Corepoint environment support tickets.
• Work collaboratively with clinical laboratory personnel, hospital IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to establish requirements and technical specifications.
• Implement HL7, JSON, and XML protocols and data formats to achieve system interoperability.
• Identify and resolve interface issues to ensure timely and accurate data flow.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented interface integration code.
• Conduct testing and quality assurance to confirm data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.
• Monitor and enhance system performance.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and healthcare data security regulations.
• Engage in system upgrades, migrations, and ongoing development initiatives.
• Communicate project status and issues to management and stakeholders through meetings, emails, and key documentation.
• Interact with clients, industry peers, software support teams, and ELE staff.
• Extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining interfaces utilizing the Corepoint Interface Engine, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the healthcare/clinical laboratory field preferred.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, optimizing, and supporting Corepoint interfaces.
• Familiarity with engine upgrades, version control, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of HL7 messaging, including ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, message segmentation, data types, and flows.
• Experience with JSON, XML, and CDA.
• Knowledge of TCP-IP, VPN, sFTP/FTPs, HTTP/S web services, REST/SOAP, and certificate authentication methods.
• Experience in developing APIs and integrating with external systems using secure transport and authentication techniques.
• Strong background in data mapping and transformation between laboratory LIS/LIMS, EHRs, HIS systems, and other target systems.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle principles and version control systems.
• Ability to convert functional/clinical requirements into interface specifications and technical designs.
• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ten years of experience in healthcare IT interface development with a significant focus on HL7, interface engine technology, and requirements.
• Extensive experience in developing and maintaining interfaces within the Corepoint Integration Engine.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in system integration design, data flow architecture, and scalable solution design.
• Strong testing skills, including test planning, interface validation, error analysis, and regression testing.
• Experience in troubleshooting production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions under SLA requirements.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, laboratory system requirements, and lab order and results handling in the U.S. clinical environment.
• Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
• Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data integration compliance, privacy, security requirements, and standards.
• Ability to collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, project managers, WQA teams, vendors, and cross-functional IT teams.
