Intercompany Operations Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Document and oversee all intercompany transactions within the group.

• Ensure the precision of primary documentation and adherence to intercompany agreements.

• Conduct monthly and quarterly intercompany reconciliations and address discrepancies.

• Calculate and accrue interest on intercompany loans.

• Compute and record cost-plus intercompany transactions, including mark-ups and associated journal entries.

• Prepare intercompany journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and eliminations.

• Calculate and record cost allocations and recharges.

• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Maintain and initiate intercompany agreements in collaboration with Legal teams.

• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing policies and group accounting standards.

• Engage in ERP (NetSuite) implementation and enhancement of intercompany processes.

• Prepare documentation and support audits, tax reviews, and treasury-related inquiries.

• Collaborate closely with Finance Controllers, Tax, Treasury, and Legal teams.

• Navigate differences between local accounting practices and US GAAP.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of accounting experience in international firms.

• Strong practical experience in intercompany accounting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.

• Experience with period close, intercompany reconciliations, and eliminations.

• Background in intercompany loans, interest calculations, cost-plus transactions, cost allocations, and related journal entries.

• Involvement in audits and preparation of supporting documentation.

• Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.

• Confident and seasoned professional, capable of working on equal footing with finance controllers.

• Proficient in English.
