Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance enterprise interfaces that handle substantial volumes of healthcare data.

• Spearhead integration projects from the planning phase through development, testing, and deployment in production.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate or rapidly escalating issues by employing database navigation, log analysis, and sound technical judgment.

• Collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, propose solutions, manage dependencies, and achieve desired outcomes.

• Mentor teams on healthcare data exchange, interoperability standards, interface design, and secure system integration practices.

• Investigate and optimize configurations, processes, and emerging technologies to enhance performance and operational excellence.

• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and materials for knowledge transfer.

• Work in conjunction with Engineering, DevOps, Implementation, and Support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Implement controls across interface environments to ensure secure management of sensitive healthcare data and compliance with SOC 2 standards.

• Offer technical leadership across multiple ongoing projects while fostering relationships with both internal and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare IT, healthcare technology, systems integration, or a similar technical domain.

• Practical experience with healthcare interface engines and data integration platforms.

• Familiarity with CMS-0057 requirements and Da Vinci FHIR implementation guides.

• Proven experience in leading complex technical integration projects from development to production deployment.

• Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7, FHIR, and X12 278 transactions.

• Proficient in writing, modifying, and optimizing SQL queries.

• Strong skills in database navigation and log analysis.

• Understanding of electronic health record data structures, healthcare applications, workflows, and system integrations.

• Experience handling sensitive data within secure and compliant environments.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, customer relationship, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to comprehend complex data models, manage competing priorities, work independently, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting.

• A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies, applications, and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare informatics, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure, is preferred.

• Background in providing technical consulting, training, or knowledge transfer to internal teams is preferred.

• Direct experience collaborating with healthcare payers, providers, or healthcare technology organizations is preferred.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.
