Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance enterprise interfaces that manage high volumes of healthcare data.

• Spearhead integration projects from the initial planning phase through to development, testing, and production deployment.

• Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate or rapidly escalating issues utilizing database navigation, log analysis, and technical expertise.

• Collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, suggest solutions, manage dependencies, and achieve desired outcomes.

• Provide guidance to teams on healthcare data exchange, interoperability standards, interface design, and secure system integration.

• Investigate and enhance configurations, processes, and emerging technologies to boost performance and operational excellence.

• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and knowledge transfer materials.

• Work alongside Engineering, DevOps, Implementation, and Support teams to deliver coordinated end-to-end solutions.

• Implement controls across interface environments to ensure secure handling of sensitive healthcare data and compliance with SOC 2 standards.

• Offer technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects and foster relationships with internal and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare IT, healthcare technology, systems integration, or a related technical field.

• Hands-on experience with healthcare interface engines and data integration platforms.

• Familiarity with CMS-0057 requirements and Da Vinci FHIR implementation guides.

• Proven ability to lead complex technical integration projects from development through to production.

• Working knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and X12 278 transactions.

• Experience in writing, modifying, and optimizing SQL queries.

• Strong skills in database navigation and log analysis.

• Understanding of electronic health record data structures, healthcare applications, workflows, and system integrations.

• Experience handling sensitive data in secure and compliant environments.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, customer relationship, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to comprehend complex data models, manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies, applications, and tools.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, healthcare informatics, or a related field (preferred).

• Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure (preferred).

• Experience in providing technical consulting, training, or knowledge transfer to internal teams (preferred).

• Experience working directly with healthcare payers, providers, or healthcare technology organizations (preferred).
