Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain data interfaces independently between internal and external systems.

• Operate and enhance the Lobster_data integration platform.

• Connect external systems using EDI/EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and CSV formats.

• Create and sustain file-based and web interfaces utilizing REST, SOAP, SFTP, and EDI protocols.

• Develop reliable validation and error-handling mechanisms, incorporating sanity checks, atomic processing, and idempotency.

• Analyze and resolve incidents in live operations autonomously.

• Comprehend and integrate Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes such as goods receipt, picking, shipping, and returns.

• Connect and integrate ERP and WMS systems with e-commerce platforms, shipping service providers, and customer portal solutions.

• Provide support for logistics IT systems and warehouse management environments.

• Create and maintain SQL queries, procedures, and data models within MS SQL Server and MySQL environments.

• Analyze and enhance data-driven business processes.

• Evaluate technical customer requirements and develop interface concepts.

• Assist in customer migration projects and system integrations.

• Engage in technical workshops and project coordination meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with integration platforms—preferably Lobster_data; alternatively, similar middleware such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or others.

• Proficient in XML, JSON, CSV, and EDIFACT/EDI.

• Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and SFTP/FTP protocols.

• Basic understanding of REST interfaces, including their application and configuration.

• Advanced SQL expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL, covering complex queries, joins, CTEs, and data modeling.

• Knowledge of interconnected, distributed system architectures and their process chains.

• Basic understanding of WMS processes and their influence on interface design.

• Basic awareness of e-commerce and/or logistics operations.

• Preferred: Experience with Lobster_data.

• Preferred: Experience in developing and implementing REST or SOAP APIs.

• Preferred: Practical experience with at least one WMS or ERP system.

• Preferred: Basic knowledge of .NET/C#.

• Preferred: Experience with PHP/Laravel.

• Preferred: Experience in WMS implementation projects or migrations.
