Integration, Data Movement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design and execute integrations and ELT/ETL pipelines utilizing APIs, databases, file-based sources, SaaS platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Construct and manage data ingestion and transformation processes centered on Snowflake.

• Employ Medallion Architecture principles across raw, curated, and business-ready data layers.

• Create data transformation logic using SQL and Python.

• Develop scalable and reusable ingestion frameworks that support both batch and incremental loads.

• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, monitoring systems, and error handling mechanisms.

• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to guarantee reliable and optimized downstream data.

• Document integration designs, data lineage, dependencies, and operational procedures.

• Deliver dependable, scalable, and well-governed data pipelines for enterprise reporting and analytics.

• Facilitate the efficient onboarding of new data sources with minimal manual intervention.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in designing and implementing system integrations and data pipelines.

• Proficient in SQL, including the use of Stored Procedures.

• Strong Python development capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, automation, and operational support.

• Practical experience with Snowflake.

• Experience with data ingestion and transformation from APIs, relational databases, flat files, and external systems.

• Background in implementing ELT/ETL solutions and data quality controls.

• Comprehensive understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, and integration patterns.

• Preferred: Familiarity with DBT, including models, testing, lineage, documentation, and data quality frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud-native integration patterns and services (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Preferred: Knowledge of Kafka, Service Bus, or other event streaming technologies.
