Integration Analyst Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the VA Integrated PPBE and Procurement System (VIPPS) solution.

• Work closely with the Data Integration Lead, API/Integration Developers, and technical/functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop system integrations.

• Carry out data migration tasks, which include profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and migration testing.

• Evaluate source and target systems to comprehend data structures, business rules, and integration requirements.

• Create precise source-to-target data mappings.

• Support API and interface development utilizing REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL, and other related integration technologies.

• Aid in integration and API testing by designing and executing test cases, validating data exchanges, and contributing to reusable automated testing frameworks.

• Diagnose integration and data-exchange problems, data quality issues, interface errors, and exception-handling challenges.

• Document integration processes, mappings, test outcomes, and technical specifications.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of integration processes, tools, and methodologies.

• Ensure that integration activities comply with security, compliance, and Suitability/Public Trust clearance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a comparable mix of education and pertinent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in systems integration, data analysis, data migration/conversion, API/interface development or analysis, or related technical implementation tasks.

• Strong analytical skills in data and systems.

• Capability to analyze source and target systems, understand existing data structures and business rules, create source-to-target mappings, and ascertain how data should be transformed, validated, reconciled, and exchanged among systems.

• Familiarity with APIs and a solid understanding of REST APIs and enterprise integration principles.

• Proficiency in SQL, data mapping, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, interface specifications, error/exception handling, and data quality controls.

• Technical proficiency to assist with integration engineering and troubleshooting tasks.

• Ability to support API and integration testing, including the development of reusable automated tests or an API test automation framework.

• Experience with the integration of Federal or VA enterprise systems and/or facilitating legacy-to-modern platform migrations.

• Background in integrating SaaS and external systems.

• Knowledge of iFAMS and ECMS.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

• OneStream experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Preference for candidates with experience in supporting complex enterprise systems.
