Disability Benefit Calculation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Compute and code adjustments for Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits within the Navigator system.

• Clearly communicate overpayment amounts to plan members both verbally and in written form.

• Follow up with plan members regarding the reimbursement of overpayments.

• Negotiate reasonable repayment plans as needed.

• Execute claim recoveries in the Navigator system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge of group disability contract terminology and how different income sources affect disability benefits.

• Strong focus on customer service and the ability to convey difficult messages with empathy.

• Experience with calculating disability benefits.

• Solid mathematical abilities.

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Capability to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions effectively.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to learn continuously from both successes and setbacks.

• Openness to change and a commitment to ongoing improvement.

• Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous; proficiency in both languages is mandatory for supporting clients in Québec and other provinces.

• Experience with the Navigator system is a plus.
