This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial obligations, process payments when necessary, and meticulously document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer criteria, providing updates and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to gather complete and compliant documentation.
• Utilize expert knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee compliant service delivery.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and communication with patients using electronic systems.
• Input referrals within designated timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the right inventory and services are selected and scheduled.
• Work in partnership with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to obtain and manage necessary documentation.
• Choose suitable shipping and delivery methods in accordance with company procedures.
• Handle incoming calls and assist patients and referral sources in a professional manner.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside of regular business hours.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing other related duties as assigned.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• A High School Diploma or an Associate’s degree in a related field, such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Previous experience in management, administrative roles, clerical positions, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience within healthcare organizations, pharmacies, HME, medical supply companies, or Medicare-certified environments is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus.
• Comfortable with learning new technologies and navigating various systems.
• Ability to work independently while following established procedures and guidelines.
• A company-conducted background check is required for all positions.
