This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, collect payments when necessary, and accurately document interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer requirements, providing updates and alternative options to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to gather complete and compliant documentation.
• Exhibit expert knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee that services are delivered appropriately and in compliance.
• Keep precise and timely records of patient information and communications using electronic systems.
• Input referrals within established timelines while adhering to productivity and quality standards.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the appropriate selection and scheduling of inventory and services.
• Work closely with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline the referral and intake process.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to retrieve and manage documentation efficiently.
• Ensure that suitable shipping and delivery methods are chosen in line with company procedures.
• Respond promptly to incoming calls and provide professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside of business hours in accordance with company policy.
• Uphold team operations and quality standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in a related field, such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required.
• Preferred experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service, although not required.
• Experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and navigate multiple systems comfortably.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted Background Check is required for all roles.
• A company-conducted Motor Vehicle Record Check is required for all driving roles.
• Clinical roles necessitate valid licensure/certification, where applicable.
