This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Examine medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and compliance.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, collect payments when necessary, and accurately document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer requirements, providing updates and alternative options to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee that services are delivered appropriately and in compliance.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient information and communications through electronic systems.
• Enter referrals within designated timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the appropriate inventory and services are selected and scheduled.
• Work alongside sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline the referral and intake process.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to acquire and manage documentation.
• Ensure the selection of appropriate shipping and delivery methods in accordance with company protocols.
• Respond to incoming calls promptly, providing professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
• Participate in the on-call rotation during non-business hours as per company policy.
• Support team operations and uphold quality standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned.
• One (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma, Associate’s degree in a relevant field, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience in management, administration, clerical work, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus.
• Comfortable with learning new technologies and navigating various systems.
• Ability to work independently while following set procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted background check is required.
• Participation in an on-call rotation during non-business hours is necessary.
