This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Analyze medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, collect payments when necessary, and accurately document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer standards, providing updates and alternative options to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee that services are delivered appropriately and in accordance with compliance standards.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient information and communications through electronic systems.
• Enter referrals within set timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the appropriate selection and scheduling of inventory and services.
• Work alongside sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline the referral and intake process.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to obtain and manage necessary documentation.
• Ensure the correct shipping and delivery methods are chosen in line with company protocols.
• Promptly answer incoming calls and provide professional assistance to both patients and referral sources.
• Participate in the on-call rotation outside of business hours as per company policy.
• Support team operations and uphold quality standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Execute other related duties as assigned.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or an Associate’s degree in a relevant field, such as Healthcare Administration or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Preferred experience includes management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service, though it is not mandatory.
• Experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer skills, with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems being advantageous.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and navigate multiple systems efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted background check is required for all positions.
