This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Evaluate medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, collect payments when necessary, and accurately record all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation does not satisfy payer requirements, providing updates and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to ensure comprehensive and compliant documentation is obtained.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee compliant service delivery.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of patient information and communications within electronic systems.
• Input referrals within designated timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to select and schedule suitable inventory and services.
• Work alongside sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to acquire and manage necessary documentation.
• Choose the appropriate shipping and delivery methods in accordance with company policies.
• Respond promptly to incoming calls, providing professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
• Participate in an on-call rotation during non-business hours.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and perform other related tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required.
• Preferred, but not required, experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service roles.
• Experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and healthcare systems being a plus.
• Comfortable with learning new technologies and navigating multiple systems.
• Capable of working independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted background check is mandatory for all positions.
• A Motor Vehicle Record Check is necessary for all driving-related roles.
• Clinical positions require valid licensure/certification, as applicable.
