Intake Community Supports Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Manage both inbound and outbound customer service calls, including handling de-escalations, for clients placing meal orders.

• Respond to inquiries and deliver outstanding customer service.

• Enter order details into the designated client order system.

• Record all client interactions in the client information database.

• Ensure that assigned clients are contacted and have an order registered.

• Communicate with case managers via telephone, email, and/or fax concerning special circumstances.

• Operate promptly and efficiently while ensuring clients do not feel rushed.

• Support clients with reships following training.

• Assist callers inquiring about the Community Supports benefit and submit self-referrals for those who qualify.

• Inform clients of benefits that are set to expire within 30 days and provide assistance with reauthorization when feasible.

• Clarify the next steps when an agency prohibits Mom’s Meals from initiating reauthorization.

• Describe benefits, including nutritional counseling requirements and potential timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least 1 year of prior customer service experience.

• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).

• Strong oral communication skills.

• Prior experience in data entry.

• A wired internet connection via an ethernet port is required.

• Broadband internet wired to the home is necessary: Cable Modem/service or Fiber Optic.

• Satellite, 4/5G, or DSL connections are not acceptable.

• A quiet workspace free from distractions is essential.

• Applicants must reside in Iowa.

• Preferred: 1 year of prior call center experience.

• Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish).

• Capacity for repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

• Sedentary work primarily involving sitting and remaining stationary for extended periods.

• Visual perception skills, including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
