Insurance Verification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct precise and timely verification of insurance eligibility and benefits.

• Confirm patient coverage, plan specifics, effective dates, copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and additional relevant benefits.

• Examine insurance information via payer portals, phone systems, and other verification methods.

• Address real-time verification requests during operational hours and provide prompt responses to urgent inquiries.

• Detect discrepancies, inactive coverage, or absent insurance information and relay findings to the appropriate team.

• Accurately document verification outcomes and maintain well-organized patient and insurance records.

• Engage professionally with insurance representatives, healthcare personnel, and other pertinent parties.

• Adhere to established workflows, payer mandates, and internal protocols to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Uphold confidentiality and manage patient information in alignment with applicable privacy regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in insurance verification or eligibility and benefits verification.

• Practical experience with Veradigm is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with insurance payer portals and/or insurance companies.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to navigate multiple systems and maintain orderly documentation.

• Background in medical billing, patient access, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration is a plus.

• Proficient in speaking and writing English clearly and professionally.

• Relevant work experience is required.

• Must provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory).

• Availability for video meetings with the camera on when necessary.

• Reliable laptop or desktop computer.

• Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps).

• Noise-canceling headset.

• Functional webcam for virtual meetings.
