This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create intricate insurance scenarios encompassing underwriting, claims, actuarial analysis, risk management, reinsurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Produce reference outputs and evaluation criteria that reflect seasoned insurance judgment.
• Develop tasks for underwriting and risk assessment that include risk selection, coverage evaluation, pricing, and underwriting decisions.
• Design claims scenarios that involve intake, investigation, adjudication, settlement, and escalation processes.
• Formulate tasks related to actuarial pricing, loss forecasting, and reserve analysis.
• Create scenarios for reinsurance, enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, and insurance operations.
• Develop scenarios using Guidewire, Duck Creek, SAS, R, and similar insurance platforms.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy, risk awareness, operational realism, and completeness.
• Detect subtle reasoning mistakes, unsupported assumptions, control deficiencies, compliance issues, and documentation problems.
• Offer a clear written rationale to support evaluation findings.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in insurance underwriting, claims, actuarial work, risk management, reinsurance, or a closely related field.
• Experience working within a major insurance carrier, reinsurer, enterprise risk organization, or a similar insurance environment.
• Direct responsibility for underwriting portfolios, claims operations, actuarial pricing models, reserving processes, or insurance risk programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of underwriting, claims management, pricing, reserving, reinsurance, and enterprise risk principles.
• Familiarity with Guidewire, Duck Creek, SAS, R, or equivalent insurance systems.
• Practical knowledge of regulatory compliance, reinsurance arrangements, and reserving practices.
• Capability to articulate complex insurance and risk reasoning clearly and accurately in writing.
• Work must be conducted without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
