Insurance Authorization Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Manage 60-80 insurance authorizations each day through insurance portals for patient referrals.

• Verify and confirm the status and availability of authorizations for specific patient appointments with healthcare providers.

• Complete and submit authorization request forms for various insurance companies.

• Conduct data entry and administrative duties related to insurance authorization and referral management.

• Identify and report any discrepancies in authorizations concerning patient appointments and surgery-related referrals.

• Collaborate with the insurance team to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.

• Maintain regular communication with team members about authorization statuses and documentation requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare, insurance, or administrative roles.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to efficiently manage a high volume of daily tasks independently.

• Basic understanding of medical insurance, authorizations, and referral processes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in navigating insurance portal systems.

• Experience with ModMed electronic health record (EHR) software is a plus.

• Prior experience in insurance authorization, referral management, or healthcare administration is preferred.

• Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, coverage policies, and referral procedures is advantageous.

• Experience with healthcare data entry systems is a plus.

• Must reside in the Philippines and be legally authorized to work there.

• A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for remote work are required.
