This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop realistic scenarios encompassing ratemaking, loss reserving, valuation, experience studies, assumption-setting, and profitability analysis.

• Construct pricing models, conduct reserve reviews, prepare actuarial memoranda, establish technical assumptions, and summarize results.

• Produce high-quality “golden” reference responses that meet experienced actuarial professional standards.

• Evaluate AI-generated responses using structured rubrics to assess methodological soundness, calculation accuracy, assumption justification, and effective communication.

• Detect flawed methodologies, calculation mistakes, unsupported assumptions, and deficiencies in documented reasoning.

• Offer written feedback to the research team to enhance model performance.

• Engage in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.

• Contribute to projects focused on training and improving AI systems in insurance actuarial reasoning.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional actuarial experience within any practice area.

• Familiarity with the influence of methods, assumptions, and data on pricing, reserves, and valuation.

• Capability to choose an appropriate method, conduct the analysis, and present a defensible conclusion supported by documented rationale.

• Strong quantitative analysis skills, balanced judgment, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to differentiate actuarial analysis from underwriting decisions and formal financial or legal counsel.

• Possession of ASA, FSA, ACAS, FCAS, CERA, MAAA, or an equivalent credential, or actively pursuing exams (bonus qualification).

• Experience in multiple practice areas or specialty lines (bonus qualification).

• Background in reinsurance, capital modeling, or enterprise risk (bonus qualification).

• Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, SQL, or actuarial software such as Prophet, Emblem, Radar, or ResQ (bonus qualification).

• Experience with regulatory filings, rate filings, or statements of actuarial opinion (bonus qualification).

• Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT support.
