Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and develop instructional or enablement content customized to meet client requirements.

• Work in collaboration with subject matter experts and stakeholders to define learning objectives, gather necessary content, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Design interactive e-learning courses utilizing instructional design frameworks like ADDIE and SAM, along with principles of adult learning theory.

• Create assessments and knowledge checks to evaluate learner progress, retention, and the effectiveness of the content.

• Review and enhance instructional materials based on feedback from stakeholders and learner outcomes.

• Simplify complex technical, operational, and business processes into clear, practical, and field-ready content.

• Translate broadly defined client needs into structured learning and performance support solutions.

• Operate with limited direct access to SMEs, leveraging available resources, internal support, and iterative development strategies.

• Adapt to shifting priorities, feedback, and client constraints throughout the development process.

• Develop training solutions and practical reference tools for real-world application.

• Maintain a balance between quality, timelines, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

• Create and update e-learning content, graphics, presentations, process documentation, and performance support materials.

• Utilize approved development tools, templates, brand guidelines, and AI-enhanced workflows to boost efficiency and support content creation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in developing training, instructional content, or performance support materials.

• At least 4–6 years of experience in instructional design, with a focus on creating e-learning content.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in developing instructional content using e-learning authoring tools, multimedia software, or similar content development platforms.

• Proficiency with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable software.

• Strong capability to translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging, and learner-centric content.

• Ability to plan, organize, and manage work efficiently within agile or iterative workflows while juggling multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional teams.

• A portfolio showcasing instructional design, e-learning development, graphic design, presentation design, or related content development projects.
