Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with senior instructional designers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess learning requirements and establish clear educational objectives.

• Design and create storyboards, e-learning modules, job aids, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and assessments.

• Implement adult learning principles, instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM, and adhere to WCAG accessibility standards.

• Develop engaging e-learning courses utilizing authoring tools.

• Create assessments, quizzes, and knowledge checks to evaluate learner progress.

• Review and update existing learning materials for accuracy, clarity, and instructional effectiveness.

• Assist in course implementation on Learning Management Systems and support course publishing and testing.

• Collect and integrate feedback from SMEs, stakeholders, and learners.

• Maintain project documentation, version control, and content libraries.

• Keep abreast of instructional design best practices, emerging learning technologies, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of practical experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a closely related Learning & Development role.

• Knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning theories.

• Experience in creating storyboards and developing basic to intermediate e-learning modules.

• Proficiency in at least one major authoring tool (Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar).

• Strong written communication skills with the capability to produce clear, learner-friendly content.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and basic multimedia tools.

• Understanding of assessment design and fundamental evaluation methods.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Basic knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Communication, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
