Inspector, Electrical/ICT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate electrical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure they meet contract documents, specifications, codes, and standards.

• Perform daily inspections of electrical, ICT, and ELV systems, encompassing MV/LV distribution, substations, structured cabling, CCTV, security, fire alarm, and related infrastructure.

• Oversee the installation of street lighting, apron floodlighting, GPUs, AGL, SAS, and telecommunication infrastructure.

• Conduct site surveillance to verify adherence to documented processes.

• Assess work-pack documentation and confirm test data against defined requirements and tolerances.

• Validate materials, installation techniques, workmanship, and compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health standards.

• Review method statements, inspection and test plans, and material submissions.

• Witness the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

• Generate non-conformance reports and ensure prompt resolution.

• Keep comprehensive inspection records and progress reports.

• Engage in site coordination and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders.

• Identify and document deficiencies, code infractions, and safety risks.

• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address electrical challenges.

• Prepare inspection reports and maintain documentation of findings.

• Stay updated with Saudi Arabian and international electrical codes, regulations, and best practices.

• Offer guidance to enhance electrical safety and efficiency.

• Participate in pre-construction meetings.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 10 years of experience in electrical/ICT & ELV inspection, ideally in infrastructure and hanger projects.

• Experience in aviation projects is preferred.

• Prior experience with a Project Management Consultant (PMC) is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi electrical codes, SEC standards, and international regulations.

• Familiarity with electrical systems utilized in infrastructure projects, such as street lighting, utility networks, cabling, MV/LV substations, AGL, and SAS systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of structured cabling, networking, and integrated systems.

• Proficient in Saudi Arabian and international electrical codes and standards.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical and ICT systems and components.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

• Proven experience working on construction sites and in aviation projects.

• Expertise in using testing equipment and inspection tools.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

• Competence in Microsoft Office and relevant inspection software.

• In-depth understanding of construction industry regulations and safety protocols.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
