Health and Safety Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Ensures compliance with current legislation in the field of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) according to Law 319/2006 and Government Decision 1425/2006, including subsequent amendments.

• Participates in the development of training topics, proposes training themes, and conducts training according to their level of competence.

• Carries out specific activities related to emergency situations and develops the related documentation, including evacuation plans and fire drills, in accordance with Law 307/2006.

• Provides information, training, and verification of workers in the field of occupational safety and health.

• Participates in projects that involve requirements in OHS-Emergency Situations (ES).

• Responsible for overseeing the supervised activities in accordance with client requirements and applicable legislative demands.

• Develops instructions for the completion or application of occupational safety and health regulations.

• Ensures compliance with legislative requirements regarding OHS/ES in the organization's operations.

• Implements internal procedures and local regulatory requirements concerning health, safety, and environmental protection.

• Contributes to the creation and updating of OHS risk assessments, identification of hazards, and definition of action plans.

• Travels to SGS locations to verify compliance with OHS/ES requirements and group standards.

• Aids in the development of an OHS culture and operational integrity.

• Assists in reporting, classifying, and investigating OHS incidents.

• Collaborates with colleagues to continuously improve procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Higher education.

• OHS Inspector Course – 80 hours.

• Technical Fire Safety Course.

• Waste Management Course – Considered an advantage.

• Risk Assessor and Internal Auditor in OHS Course – Considered an advantage.

• Solid knowledge of OHS legislation.

• Competencies in risk assessment and internal auditing in OHS – Considered an advantage.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a construction or industrial company is an advantage.

• Curiosity and passion for the OHS field.

• Initiative and focus on performance and continuous improvement.

• Strong communication skills.

• Proficiency in PC/Office applications.

• English language proficiency – intermediate level.

• Valid driver's license category B and willingness to travel.
