This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.
• Perform inspections of pressure equipment and containment systems in accordance with PED, PESR, ADR, TPED, and TPER regulations.
• Independently evaluate and document inspection results in accordance with SGS procedures, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee inspection operations safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to risk assessments, health and safety legislation, and company policies.
• Offer technical advice and support to colleagues and clients regarding pressure equipment inspection and compliance issues.
• Execute inspection responsibilities with a focus on commercial viability, enhancing operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Operate across a diverse array of client locations, mainly within the West Midlands, Cambridgeshire, and Oxfordshire.
• Proven experience in inspecting pressure vessels, piping systems, safety accessories, and related pressure equipment.
• Background in engineering, inspection, manufacturing, process, petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of UK and European pressure equipment regulations and standards.
• Experience in conducting statutory inspections and generating technical reports.
• Capability to work autonomously while upholding high standards of accuracy and professional judgment.
• Engineering Technician qualification, ONC with relevant experience, or completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship in a pertinent field.
• Strong understanding of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) and Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations (PESR/PSSR).
• Familiarity with regulations concerning the transportation of dangerous goods or related industry sectors.
• Valid UK Driving Licence and readiness to travel to customer locations.
• Awareness of Health & Safety at Work legislation and safe work systems.
