
Inside Sales Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Create and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound inquiries, marketing campaigns, events, referrals, and digital engagement.
• Conduct research to identify potential customers within academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and CRO sectors.
• Connect with prospective customers via email, phone, virtual meetings, and social media outreach to understand their research and commercial requirements.
• Qualify leads and arrange meetings, demonstrations, and technical discussions with Sales Executives and Field Application Scientists.
• Manage and cultivate early-stage opportunities until prospects are ready for sale.
• Oversee and process consumable orders from quotation to order confirmation.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding consumables, quotations, and follow-up on orders.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing on responses to campaigns, webinar participants, event leads, and website inquiries.
• Keep precise records of customer interactions, opportunity stages, and pipeline data in Salesforce.
• Aid in territory planning by identifying strategic target accounts and enhancing engagement within current organizations.
• Work together with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Applications teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform commercial strategies, messaging, and future product development.
• Meet targets for activity, pipeline generation, and opportunity creation.
• Maintain accurate dashboards for pipeline generation that track funnel health and conversion metrics.
• A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, or a related scientific field is required.
• Previous experience in inside sales, business development, lead generation, customer success, or scientific sales is preferred.
• A strong interest in life science research and emerging technologies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in engaging both scientific and commercial audiences.
• Ability to establish relationships and convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable using CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
• Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and driven to achieve both individual and team objectives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common business productivity tools.
• A PhD is preferred.
