This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Deliver comprehensive activation services for the transition, installation, and execution of move plans to ensure clinics are fully operational by Day One.
• Offer post-occupancy assistance to finalize and conclude activation projects.
• Guide users and stakeholders in identifying workflows and processes for new facilities.
• Outline transitions from current operations to future operations by functional area.
• Perform workflow assessments that encompass patient transport, staff egress, equipment and supply movement routes, safety, and security.
• Develop and document Delivery, Installation, Testing, and Acceptance Plans for FF&E delivery, installation, inventory updates, and damage prevention.
• Assist in schedule creation and the acquisition, installation, and occupancy timelines.
• Coordinate transition and activation activities in APS, AIMS, and Individual Service Project Schedules.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely equipment delivery and installation.
• Produce finalized FF&E layouts and confirm correct placement and installation.
• Oversee the delivery, staging, and installation of ordinary JSNs and other specified materials.
• Manage labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for FF&E installation from warehouses.
• Keep accurate records and update data for FF&E installations.
• Ensure site safety, security, and waste management during installation and activation.
• Facilitate government acceptance of installation services and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide punch lists as necessary.
• Assist VA Biomedical Engineering personnel with equipment inspections, acceptance tests, and biomed checks.
• Update inventory systems and supply documentation to logistics teams.
• Create Day in the Life Plans and carry out readiness exercises.
• Develop and distribute orientation kits for new employees.
• Oversee final facility turnover and complete project records and deliverables.
• Lead post-occupancy evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience.
• At least 3 years specifically in healthcare Initial Outfitting, Transition, and Activation (IOT&A) services.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Administration, Business Administration, or Architecture is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with comprehensive activation services, including planning, coordination, installation, and post-occupancy support.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare infrastructure, facility operations, and clinical services.
• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Proven background in conceptual advance planning, identifying occupancy milestones, detailed implementation planning, and move sequencing, preparation and setup, and compiling detailed move plans for each affected department, along with relocation execution.
• Experience in creating/updating Transitional CONOPs.
• Familiarity with VA inventory management systems and biomed equipment standards is advantageous.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project), Microsoft Office Suite, and planning tools.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Experience with VA or DoD planning and procurement systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of federal procurement policies and procedures is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Subject to a background/security investigation.
