Infrastructure Systems Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional project teams in the design and implementation of highly available multi-tier Windows or cloud applications.

• Collaborate with both business and technical teams to create infrastructure and systems engineering designs for internally hosted solutions.

• Execute solutions by developing automation processes for the deployment of systems, applications, containers, and related technologies.

• Act as the primary infrastructure liaison for business units and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide technical guidance for project assignments.

• Document technical designs for Project and Operations teams as part of project deliverables.

• Create scripts and automation for repeatable processes.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience using a consultative approach to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document, and manage requirements.

• Extensive enterprise-class infrastructure and systems engineering experience with Windows/SQL and cloud platforms.

• Proficiency in automation or script development, with a preference for PowerShell.

• Familiarity with automated system builds and configuration management tools, including VRO, Terraform, SCCM, and SCO.

• Solid understanding of networking protocols and components.

• Experience in designing and implementing High Availability, Active/Active, and Disaster Recovery solutions.

• Experience collaborating on matrix teams with infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client relationship teams.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

• Capability to create operational documentation, including Visio diagrams and detailed infrastructure build-out and configuration instructions.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code deployments and CI/CD practices.

• Strong customer service skills and professionalism when dealing with complex designs and situations.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.

• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong attention to detail.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
