Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming tasks.

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software utilizing SMP/E.

• Install and manage mainframe software applications.

• Work with JCL and ISPF/TSO environments.

• Provide support for VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Assist with IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool functionalities.

• Contribute to the infrastructure, architecture, and design of mainframe systems.

• Utilize BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Offer technical leadership and assist with project/program management and stakeholder communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming.

• Extensive hands-on experience with SMP/E software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.

• Proficiency in mainframe software installation and administration.

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO.

• Experience with VTAM and TCP/IP protocols.

• Knowledge of IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool.

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design.

• Experience with BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management.

• Skills in technical leadership, project/program management, and stakeholder communication.
