Infrastructure Systems Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee cross-departmental project teams that are responsible for designing and implementing highly available multi-tier Windows or cloud applications.

• Collaborate across both business and technical areas to create infrastructure/system engineering designs for solutions hosted internally.

• Execute solutions by developing automation processes for deploying systems, applications, containers, and related technologies.

• Act as the main infrastructure liaison for business units and operations teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership for project tasks.

• Create documentation for technical designs intended for Project and Operations teams.

• Develop scripts and automation to facilitate repeatable processes.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience employing a consultative approach to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document, and manage requirements.

• Extensive experience in enterprise-class infrastructure and system engineering, particularly with Windows/SQL and cloud platforms.

• Proficiency in automation or script development, with a preference for PowerShell.

• Experience with automated system builds and configuration management tools such as VRO, Terraform, SCCM, SCO, etc.

• Solid understanding of networking protocols and components.

• Experience in designing and implementing High Availability, Active/Active, and Disaster Recovery solutions.

• Experience working on matrix teams that include infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client relationship teams.

• Quick adaptability to new technologies.

• Ability to produce operational documentation, including Visio diagrams and detailed infrastructure build/configuration instructions.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code deployments and CI/CD processes.

• Strong customer service skills coupled with a professional demeanor.

• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
