Infrastructure Systems Engineer – III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional project teams in the design and implementation of highly available multi-tier Windows or cloud applications.

• Collaborate with both business and technical disciplines to create infrastructure and systems engineering designs for solutions hosted internally.

• Execute solutions by developing automation processes for deploying systems, applications, containers, and related technologies.

• Act as the main infrastructure point of contact for business units and operations teams throughout the project's lifecycle.

• Provide technical leadership for project assignments.

• Document technical designs as deliverables for Project and Operations teams.

• Create scripts and automation for processes that can be repeated consistently.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Consultative experience in analyzing, validating, specifying, verifying, documenting, and managing requirements.

• Experience in enterprise-class infrastructure and systems engineering, particularly with Windows/SQL and cloud-based platforms.

• Proficiency in automation or script development, with a preference for PowerShell.

• Familiarity with automated system builds and configuration management tools such as VRO, Terraform, SCCM, and SCO.

• Understanding of networking protocols and components.

• Experience in designing and implementing High Availability, Active/Active, and Disaster Recovery solutions.

• Background in working on matrix teams alongside infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client relationship teams.

• Capability to rapidly learn new technologies.

• Proficiency in producing operational documentation, including Visio diagrams, environment descriptions, and detailed repeatable build/configuration instructions.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code deployments and CI/CD practices.

• Strong customer service skills and professionalism in handling complex designs and situations.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting.

• Skill in prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field is preferred.
