
Infrastructure Sales Specialist – Water/Wastewater

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Acquire knowledge of Victaulic products and their applications.
• Understand grooved mechanical pipe joining techniques as well as alternative methods, such as welding and flanging.
• Comprehend construction cycles, monitor construction/expansion/retrofit projects, and keep track of market trends and competitor activities.
• Engage with local trade organizations and professional associations.
• Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to create a business plan, which includes opportunity mapping, sales objectives, product promotion strategies, and plans for sales growth.
• Oversee all phases of project pursuit and management, from initiation through design, specifications, drawings, bidding, job-site training and support, final commissioning, and post-sale follow-up.
• Collect application details, specifications, pricing, and timelines for quotation requests.
• Lead inside sales, engineering, and support teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Establish and nurture relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, building/project owners, and distributors.
• Maintain a balanced distribution network and coordinate with Victaulic representatives and regional market specialists.
• Educate clients on product benefits and project solutions.
• Conduct demonstrations, installation training, and lunch-and-learn sessions.
• Influence key decision-makers to optimize sales opportunities.
• Meet clients, visit job sites, and participate in customer dinners, sporting events, and other social functions, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Prior sales experience in selling “value-added” products/services, ideally within the commercial construction sector, PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products.
• Proven track record of sales achievements.
• Experience in developing and maintaining long-term relationships.

• Self-motivated and driven to succeed while working remotely with minimal supervision.
• Confidence, a professional demeanor, and an engaging, approachable personality when interacting with clients.

• Willingness to travel, including significant overnight travel in certain territories.
• Ability to endure adverse weather conditions and lift equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
• Completion of a background check is mandatory as part of the pre-employment process.
