Infrastructure Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and cultivate a geographically distributed Infrastructure team across the UK, India, and APAC.

• Manage priorities, resources, and the delivery of projects, operations, incidents, and escalations.

• Foster operational excellence in Azure, hybrid infrastructure, networking, storage, backup, monitoring, automation, and resilience services.

• Lead response efforts for critical infrastructure incidents, service recovery, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Ensure that infrastructure services adhere to quality, security, governance, and operational standards.

• Assist in cloud transformation, data center exit, M&A integration, and infrastructure modernization programs.

• Advocate for automation, service optimization, FinOps, and best practices in capacity management.

• Collaborate with Security, IAM, Network Services, Helpdesk, and business stakeholders to fulfill enterprise priorities.

• Supervise team performance, capability development, and workforce planning.

• Provide reports on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and operational performance.

• Lead infrastructure projects utilizing Microsoft Azure, PaaS technologies, containerized platforms, and emerging AI-enabled infrastructure capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in leading Infrastructure, Cloud, Platform Engineering, or IT Operations teams in enterprise settings.

• Demonstrated success in managing geographically distributed teams, operational services, and project delivery.

• Strong expertise in resource management, capacity planning, risk, and dependency management.

• Practical knowledge of Azure, hybrid infrastructure, automation, resilience, disaster recovery, and service management.

• Proven leadership of remote and geographically distributed teams.

• Experience in infrastructure delivery and operational management.

• Proficient in resource, project, and capacity planning.

• Capable of managing incidents and escalations effectively.

• Skilled in people leadership, coaching, and performance development.

• Adept in risk, dependency, and stakeholder management.

• Focused on continuous improvement and service quality.

• Knowledgeable in FinOps, optimization, and cost awareness.

• Strong communication and decision-making abilities.

• Technical understanding of Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Relevant certifications in cloud, infrastructure, management, or project delivery are desirable.

• Preferred experience managing global infrastructure or cloud engineering teams across various time zones.

• Preferred experience in delivering infrastructure projects within dynamic enterprise settings.

• Preferred experience leading teams through transformations, migrations, data center exits, or M&A initiatives.

• Preferred experience in enhancing service reliability, operational maturity, and engineering practices.

• Preferred experience collaborating with Security, Architecture, IAM, and Operations teams.

• Preferred knowledge in FinOps, resilience, disaster recovery, backup, and capacity planning.

• Preferred hands-on experience with Azure, automation, and platform services.

• Preferred experience in building high-performing, accountable, and inclusive engineering teams.
