Infrastructure Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold infrastructure architecture, standards, principles, and guidelines.

• Create designs for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure architectures.

• Specify architecture for compute, storage, network, and connectivity.

• Outline high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience architectures.

• Determine requirements for infrastructure capacity, scalability, and performance.

• Design infrastructure environments that support enterprise applications and platforms.

• Specify requirements for infrastructure integration, connectivity, and communication.

• Evaluate and offer architectural recommendations for infrastructure designs and significant projects.

• Analyze current infrastructure in relation to target architecture to identify gaps and modernization needs.

• Recognize infrastructure risks, dependencies, constraints, and potential impacts.

• Ensure that infrastructure architecture aligns with business, application, security, and technology needs.

• Collaborate closely with Cybersecurity, Network, Cloud, DevOps, Application, and Technology teams.

• Aid in initiatives for infrastructure modernization, transformation, cloud adoption, and optimization.

• Keep infrastructure architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and decision records up to date.

• Ensure adherence to approved Enterprise Architecture, technology standards, security requirements, and relevant regulatory obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of comprehensive experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, Technology Architecture, or similar technical positions.

• Extensive experience in infrastructure architecture within large and complex enterprise settings.

• Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with working in a SAMA-regulated environment is advantageous.

• Strong expertise in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructure architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure technologies.

• Proven experience in designing solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, and scalable infrastructure.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.

• Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure security, connectivity, and integration requirements.

• Experience collaborating with DevOps, Cybersecurity, Network, Cloud, and Application teams.

• Solid knowledge of infrastructure standards, architecture governance, and technology lifecycle management.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or other recognized infrastructure/cloud certifications are preferred.
