Information Technology Project Manager – SAP Experience Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee project teams comprising business and IT professionals to implement small to medium-scale solutions.

• Assist with larger, more intricate projects under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager.

• Mentor and cultivate the project management skills of subordinate team members.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope and budget.

• Facilitate the gathering, documentation, and approval of business requirements from stakeholders.

• Develop project plans and timelines for implementation.

• Conduct internal and vendor inquiries regarding technology and information systems solutions.

• Coordinate RFI/RFP processes with external parties, project teams, and internal IT procurement.

• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and project sponsors, detailing project status, milestones, risks, and issues.

• Identify potential challenges and implement alternative solutions.

• Act as an escalation point for project risks and issues.

• Lead team activities through effective guidance and support.

• Independently manage medium-risk projects and handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Recommend, prepare, and facilitate training sessions.

• Oversee change control processes and the overall execution of projects.

• Maintain productive relationships with customers and vendors.

• Ensure compliance with IT and departmental policies, processes, and procedures.

• Perform other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or a PhD with no prior experience.

• SAP experience is mandatory.

• Experience managing small to medium-sized IT projects.

• Capability to support larger, more complex projects under the direction of a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager.

• Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.

• Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge® and its nine knowledge areas.

• Experience in gathering, documenting, and securing approval for business requirements.

• Proven experience in preparing project plans and implementation schedules.

• Experience in coordinating RFI/RFP processes and managing IT procurement.

• Experience with project risk, issue, change control, and stakeholder management.

• Ability to recommend, prepare, and conduct training sessions.
