This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
β’ Assist in the daily management of data center construction and fit-out projects.
β’ Monitor deliverables, oversee schedules, and enhance team communication.
β’ Keep project documentation organized, including meeting minutes, action item logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
β’ Organize project meetings, create agendas, distribute materials, and ensure follow-up on action items.
β’ Support document control and project filing systems.
β’ Aid in schedule creation, updates, monitoring, milestone tracking, and variance reporting.
β’ Contribute to budget oversight, invoice processing, financial record maintenance, cost reporting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
β’ Manage purchase orders, contract processing, and payment applications in collaboration with finance teams.
β’ Engage in site visits and construction meetings.
β’ Assist in monitoring long-lead equipment and coordinating interdependent MEP systems.
β’ Document construction progress using photos, site observations, and tracking tools.
β’ Act as a contact point for routine project inquiries and information requests.
β’ Help with client presentations, status updates, executive briefings, and client meetings.
β’ Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, vendors, equipment providers, client facilities teams, IT stakeholders, and operations personnel.
β’ Promote adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards for data centers.
β’ Assist in quality control, commissioning coordination, integrated systems testing, punch lists, warranties, closeout documentation, and lessons learned.
β’ Gain knowledge of data center standards, technical specifications, project management tools, electrical systems, mechanical cooling, backup power, and network infrastructure.
β’ Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field.
β’ 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, or a related area.
β’ Basic knowledge of construction processes, project lifecycles, and document management.
β’ Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
β’ Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
β’ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
β’ Willingness to learn intricate technical systems and specific data center requirements.
β’ Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
β’ Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
β’ Ability to work occasional extended hours or weekends as project demands arise.
β’ This position does not offer visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
β’ Preferred: Previous experience with data center, laboratory, healthcare, or other mission-critical facility projects.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with Procore, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Primavera P6.
β’ Preferred: Basic understanding of MEP systems.
β’ Preferred: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
β’ Preferred: Interest in pursuing PMP, CAPM, or other project management certifications.
β’ Preferred: Experience with BIM coordination or construction technology platforms.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge of data center terminology, equipment types, and operational concepts.
β’ Preferred: Internship or co-op experience in construction management or facilities.
β’ Preferred: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Preferred: Demonstrated initiative and eagerness for professional development.
