Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert for the security engineering team.

• Oversee design, configuration, and maintenance operations for Security Platforms utilized by Security Teams.

• Create, test, and implement security configurations to comply with controls within Security Platforms.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders on new or emerging controls and integrate them into designs.

• Engage in and facilitate intake and requirements grooming discussions with engineers and stakeholders.

• Diagnose and address escalated security platform errors or incidents.

• Monitor the health and coverage of Security Platforms to ensure robust enterprise protections.

• Identify opportunities to enhance processes through automation or modifications to system configurations.

• Provide support for Incident Response activities as necessary.

• Shape current and future technology strategies in collaboration with management and stakeholders.

• Stay informed about cyber threats, countermeasure technologies, and industry developments.

• Create and maintain security engineering documentation, including architectural diagrams, configurations, and supporting materials.

• Conduct and participate in security training and knowledge sharing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cyber Security technologies, emphasizing the selection, design, and implementation of security controls in an enterprise environment.

• Proficient in managing at least 3 security technologies, including but not limited to EDR, SIEM, UEBA, and SOAR.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to evaluate complex issues and resolve incidents with effective solutions.

• Practical knowledge of Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), along with Windows, Linux, Mac operating systems, and networking principles.

• In-depth understanding of the threat landscape and security controls employed to safeguard the enterprise.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Excellent documentation skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

• Relevant Cyber Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCSP, or similar are preferred.

• Solid understanding of cyber security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, and GDPR is preferred.

• Experience in developing and implementing Cyber Security policies and standards is preferred.

• Familiarity with Cyber Security regulations and laws is preferred.

• Experience in Cyber Incident Response is preferred.
