
Information Security Architect – Endpoints and Servers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide technical direction for IT architecture, standards, design, and implementation methodologies.
• Oversee security architecture, design, and management of both endpoints and servers.
• Design, research, propose, and implement security controls for endpoints and servers.
• Direct the roadmaps and strategic planning for endpoint, mobile, and server security domains.
• Offer security consultation and oversight for customer connections, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Develop and manage security standards within the endpoint and server security domain.
• Lead and execute approved project plans.
• Assist the PMO with the creation of Work Breakdown Structures as required.
• Maintain relationships with third-party software security vendors.
• Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams throughout the organization.
• Provide consultation for new service requests and the intake process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex client/user issues, serving as an escalation point for cybersecurity concerns.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend controls and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Define solution architecture in accordance with Jabil’s methodology.
• Provide technical leadership to customers, project managers, architects, specialists, and application engineers.
• Consult with Enterprise Architects and Senior IT Architects.
• Assess alternative technical strategies and foster consensus.
• Ensure non-functional requirements such as security, disaster recovery, availability, and performance are met.
• Validate solutions through modeling or prototyping prior to implementation.
• Mentor IT professionals.
• Develop project plans, influence project organization, and apply system sizing methodologies.
• Evaluate changes concerning scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
• Define processes and tools for delivery, deployment, and production management.
• Identify opportunities for organizational improvement using Lean Six Sigma or other methodologies.
• Conduct root cause analysis and remediation.
• Contribute to Jabil's intellectual property through patent development and submission.
• Define technical job content and qualifications for key infrastructure roles.
• Support staff skills development and address knowledge gaps.
• Publish and present to customers, IT leaders, and business executives.
• Engage with vendors and third parties as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• At least 12 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience will be considered.
• Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing security controls for endpoint platforms: Windows, MacOS, iPhone, and Android.
• Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing security controls for server platforms: Windows, MS SQL, RedHat, Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux.
• Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems like CrowdStrike.
• Familiarity with Qualys or similar compliance scanning tools.
• Experience in designing, testing, and implementing CIS hardening standards within a complex enterprise context.
• Knowledge and experience with Active Directory and MS Intune.
• Understanding of enterprise strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
• Knowledge and experience in enterprise compliance and security standards as well as enterprise risk management methods.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of architectural components and their interconnections.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles and architectural methods.
• Good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
• Experience leading teams in application development.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java or C#.
• Knowledge and experience with server-side technologies.
• Familiarity with client-side technologies like Node and Angular.
• Experience working within an Agile framework.
• Knowledge of SOA, REST, SOAP, API Management, ESB, and EIP integration patterns.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of UML or ArchiMate.
• Understanding of cloud technologies.
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISA, CISM, Open CA Level 1, TOGAF 9 Foundation, and ArchiMate 3 Foundation.
