Informatics Educator 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and implement onboarding programs, educational materials, and training initiatives for both new hires and existing staff and leaders.

• Design educational resources for key clinical applications, job responsibilities, and required competencies.

• Deliver training both in person and virtually, utilizing technology and professional presentation techniques.

• Assess educational needs and develop interactive courses that clarify technical procedures and best practices.

• Establish and execute training on workflows that support standard clinical practices.

• Encourage and instruct physicians and staff to embrace new workflows and tools by leveraging change management strategies.

• Align real-world nursing practices with informatics applications.

• Perform annual IT skills gap assessments to review and enhance coursework.

• Enhance clinical end-user workflows and efficiencies using technical and process improvement methodologies.

• Facilitate collaboration between clinical departments and IT by interpreting business requirements.

• Offer writing and documentation assistance for reporting and educational needs.

• Partner with IT, physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments to improve medication processes and clinical projects.

• Acquire and implement new systems, applications, and software for clinical units.

• Create technical workflow support documentation using clear and straightforward language.

• Conduct role-specific training on daily EMR tools and software applications.

• Investigate and propose learning tools.

• Utilize educational techniques to actively engage trainees.

• Assess the effectiveness of educational sessions.

• Keep training curriculum and materials current.

• Stay informed about IT initiatives, hospital operations, relevant technologies, and Health Information Exchange.

• Report safety-related incidents and ensure adherence to safe work practices.

• Provide job aids, electronic learning tools, education, and documentation to support solutions and workflows.

• Act as a subject matter expert on call.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent college-level coursework is preferred, or comparable work experience.

• At least 3 years of direct experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment is required.

• Proficient computer skills and a strong understanding of technology are required.

• Experience in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions is required.

• A current, unrestricted RN license in Arizona is preferred.

• LEAN Six Sigma training, Influencer Training, or Change Management Training is preferred.

• Additional clinical IT education or relevant experience is preferred.

• Background in training healthcare information systems is preferred.

• Previous experience in education or presentations is preferred.

• Familiarity with computers and proficiency in using basic software applications.

• Ability to adhere to state and federal regulations, company policies, IT change management protocols, and documentation standards.

• Capability to maintain necessary certifications and/or licenses as applicable.

• Willingness to engage in required training and safety programs.
