INFORMĀCIJAS SISTĒMU ADMINISTRATORS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the company's backup solutions (Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam Kasten, etc.).

• Maintain backup procedures, RPO/RTO requirements, and disaster recovery plans.

• Plan and conduct regular system recovery tests according to criticality groups.

• Provide operational support for data restoration during incidents related to data loss or ransomware, adhering to established RTO targets.

• Verify the integrity and availability of restored data in collaboration with system owners.

• Ensure compliance with the 3-2-1 principle and maintain immutable backups.

• Align and uphold RPO and RTO targets for each system criticality class.

• Monitor storage capacity, optimize task execution schedules, and plan for resource expansion.

• Prepare evidence for audits and participate in data center relocation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or incomplete higher education in IT is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in backup solutions or system administration.

• Experience with enterprise-level backup solutions (e.g., Veeam).

• Understanding of the 3-2-1 principle, immutable backups, RPO, and RTO.

• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, SAN/NAS, and the fundamentals of Linux/Windows Server.

• Proficient in Latvian and English (technical documentation level in English).
