Industrial Data Specialist – Oil & Gas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute data solutions tailored for industrial processes within the Energy sector.

• Assist with projects related to Oil Exploration and Production, Refining, Gas Processing, and Thermoelectric Power Generation.

• Utilize expertise in industrial physical and chemical processes to analyze and manage data from sensors and industrial systems.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at optimizing production, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring operational and process safety.

• Support projects concerning Asset Performance Management (APM), maintenance and operational risk analysis, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with teams in Data, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and other specialists to integrate industrial business insights into the solutions.

• Engage with industrial data solutions and technologies such as AVEVA/PI, Cognite, and Dataiku, adhering to project specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with data solutions in industrial environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Chemistry; or a bachelor’s degree in any field along with a postgraduate qualification in Industrial Automation or Engineering.

• Familiarity with the Energy sector, especially in Oil Exploration and Production, Refining, Gas Processing, or Thermoelectric Power Generation.

• Background in process industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, mining, steel, or manufacturing.

• Understanding of industrial physical and chemical processes with the capability to analyze data from industrial sensors and software.

• Experience with data solutions that emphasize process optimization, energy efficiency, operational safety, asset management, maintenance, or operational excellence.

• Familiarity with industrial data solutions and platforms is an advantage.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, merging technical expertise, data analysis, and industrial business context.
