This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Process and fund consumer indirect applications for auto, recreational vehicle, solar, and merchant lending products.
• Review electronic contract packages to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with dealers and lending partners to resolve any funding issues.
• Process applications, verify stipulations and documentation, and prepare contracts for funding.
• Validate documents to mitigate the risk of fraud.
• Open indirect membership accounts and address any related issues.
• Fund and disburse loans, including deposits, proceeds, and dealer compensation.
• Notify dealers and partners once contracts have been funded.
• Handle inbound calls regarding pending or completed contracts.
• Support outbound loan verification and onboarding calls.
• Process dealership payoff requests and resolve audit exceptions.
• Balance daily EFT totals and prepare as well as reconcile monthly dealer reserve reports.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in indirect and merchant loan processing.
• Make override or exception decisions within established guidelines.
• Assist with escalations and complex problem resolution.
• Support the training and coaching of Level I team members.
• Lead team huddles and monthly discussions.
• Meet or exceed Level II performance expectations.
• Participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
• Represent the credit union at volunteer and community events.
• Conduct quarterly performance discussions with the supervisor.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial institution or sales is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in consumer lending or loan processing is necessary.
• Strong understanding of consumer loan products, policies, and regulations is essential.
• Proficient in indirect vehicle contracts and consumer loan documentation.
• Familiarity with Reg B, ECOA, FACTA, FCRA, Reg Z, MLA, and TILA is expected.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
• Professionalism, diplomacy, and tact are required.
• Strong math and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, are necessary.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are important.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week is required.
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and data entry will be involved.
• Heavy communication via phone, email, and in-person interaction is expected.
• Training and procedure reviews.
• Opportunities for volunteer and community events.
• Annual regulatory training.
• Quarterly performance discussions with a supervisor.
