Independent Property Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee assigned property claims efficiently and promptly with minimal supervision.

• Make claim determinations within the authority granted, adhering to company and carrier guidelines.

• Analyze policy coverages and implement suitable claims practices.

• Set and communicate reserves that align with carrier expectations.

• Stay updated on insurance policies, guidelines, and industry practices.

• Utilize knowledge of local construction techniques, pricing, and repair standards.

• Provide supplemental reports as necessary, including severe incident and ITV reports.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to insured parties, clients, and stakeholders.

• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout all assignments.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• An associate's or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in handling property claims is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Xactimate and Symbility estimating software is necessary.

• A strong understanding of insurance policies, practices, and procedures is essential.

• General construction knowledge is highly preferred.

• Must manage personal taxes, insurance, and business expenses independently.

• Must satisfy all three ABC test criteria to qualify as a 1099 contractor: freedom from company control and direction, work outside the usual course of the company’s business, and engagement in an independently established trade or business.
