This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough investigations and assessments of daily property claims for clients.

• Efficiently manage assigned claims with minimal supervision.

• Make claim determinations within the scope of delegated authority and in accordance with company and carrier policies.

• Analyze policy coverages and implement appropriate claims practices.

• Set and communicate reserves that align with carrier expectations.

• Keep updated on insurance policies, guidelines, and industry standards.

• Utilize knowledge of local construction methods, pricing, and repair standards.

• Prepare supplemental reports, including severe incident and ITV reports, when necessary.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to insured individuals, clients, and stakeholders.

• Uphold professionalism throughout all assignments.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of experience in managing property claims is required.

• A minimum of 2 years' experience using Xactimate and Symbility estimating software is essential.

• A strong understanding of insurance policies, practices, and procedures is crucial.

• General knowledge of construction is highly preferred.

• Must meet the criteria to qualify as a 1099 contractor under the ABC test: independent from company control and direction; work performed outside the usual scope of the company’s operations; typically engaged in an independently established trade or business.

• Responsible for personal taxes, insurance, and business expenses.

• Not classified as an employee of Ryze Claim Solutions.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
