This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Schedule and register patient appointments while providing information for requests such as addresses, directions, phone numbers, operating hours, and department contacts.
• Efficiently and accurately process requests received through phone, fax, email, and other communication channels.
• Assist new members by introducing them to and explaining available services, processes, and provider availability.
• Update patients regarding the status of referrals or authorizations.
• Professionally answer, screen, and handle a high volume of incoming calls.
• Schedule and cancel appointments for various providers.
• Adhere to phone scripts, clinical decision trees, scheduling criteria, and departmental guidelines.
• Assess appointment type and urgency within the scope of knowledge and training.
• Schedule patients with the appropriate providers or route calls to the relevant resources.
• Communicate detailed exam preparation instructions, including pre-procedure laboratory requirements, to patients and the offices of ordering physicians.
• Send precise and comprehensive communications to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• At least 1 year of recent call center experience.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling is a plus.
• Availability to work any 8-hour schedule between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (EST).
