This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee processes related to the steady movement of Nestlé-controlled ocean, air, and surface transport to and from international locations.

• Track, inquire about, resolve issues, and engage with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the prompt transportation of international shipments to and from the US.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as global transportation, demand/supply planning, and warehousing.

• Partner with external entities including third-party logistics providers, ocean carriers, and drayage carriers.

• Minimize supply-chain costs and risks while promoting process enhancements.

• Manage relationships with import/export vendors and conduct regular vendor evaluations based on agreed metrics and targets.

• Assist in leading Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to international logistics and drayage vendors.

• Determine annual container forecasts, select preferred carriers, and manage allocations with shipping lines.

• Handle claims related to damages incurred during international shipping.

• Act as the internal subject matter expert on international logistics processes and trends within the industry.

• Attend international logistics seminars, conferences, and presentations.

• Lead and oversee projects aimed at enhancing end-to-end execution and functional processes.

• Independently solve problems and provide solutions that consider business and customer impacts.

• Identify routing options to prevent delays and reduce costs.

• Analyze port expenses and implement strategies to alleviate port delays and charges.

• Develop effective methods and procedures for logistics operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in international logistics involving port terminals, dray carriers, and steamship lines is essential.

• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Demonstrated experience in relationship building, facilitation, implementation skills, and influence.

• Excellent communication skills are required.

• Must be willing and able to work standard business hours.
