This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Coordinate the processes for release and entry.

• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of shipments.

• Create customs entries through the appropriate selection of client records and the interpretation of shipment documentation.

• Input shipment data for release, rating, and billing, ensuring that all required fields are complete and precise.

• Report the correct value for duty based on invoice details and sales terms.

• Establish the correct value for duty and tariff treatment by selecting the appropriate keyword/HS code.

• Collaborate with team members to acquire any missing documentation, information, or instructions necessary for the release of shipments.

• Verify documentation for compliance with release conditions and rating, including free trade certificates.

• Escalate two-step release requirements, authorizations, or release issues to the relevant team members.

• Engage in daily Release Operations within NSCs.

• Utilize available system automation tools to facilitate release processing.

• Open files and input data for new shipments in relevant systems.

• Coordinate and prepare entry summaries as required.

• Monitor Customs and PGA release status at the time of release.

• Adhere to SOPs, business rules, and specific client instructions, notes, and alerts; identify outdated or ineffective procedures and propose improvements.

• Foster effective relationships with clients, carriers, forwarders, and Customs.

• Execute other related tasks as assigned by management.

• Comply with established policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of customs brokerage experience.

• 2 years of relevant experience.

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.

• Familiarity with relevant Customs laws, regulations, procedures, and industry practices.

• Strong client service orientation.

• Organizational skills with the capacity to meet tight deadlines.

• Assertiveness in problem-solving.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Capability to multitask.

• Detail-oriented.

• Exceptional time management skills.

• Ability to present a professional image.

• Proficient in Word and Excel software.

• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST one week and Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST the following week.
